Air Max 1

Nike’s revolutionary sneaker from 1987. The air bubble was already around (Air Tailwind) but hidden: now Tinker Hatfield made it visible, inspired by the inside-out appearance of Paris’ Centre Pompidou. Featured in Nike’s first ever TV ad and part of the first ever Air Max collaboration - with Japanese boutique atmos - the AM1 is now celebrated every March 26 on Air Max Day.
