Superstar rapper Travis Scott has had an impressive run so far with Nike, releasing a variety of pairs throughout the years, some of which a few have achieved “grail” status to many sneakerheads. His particular love of the Jordan 1 has shone through in this partnership, with 2 high iterations and what is to be a 5th low on the horizon, of which most recent was the stealthy “Phantom” Jordan 1 Low OG SP.
The next in line is the Jordan 1 Low “Olive Swoosh”, a pair that has been rumoured for months but now seems to be releasing sooner than we think. The clean pair draws takes from the “Reverse Mocha” iteration with a tonal approach combining a black, sail, and off-white construction, all drawn together with a beautiful olive-green colouring on the signature reverse swoosh and outsole. As is popular with most Travis Scott releases, subtle pops of colour are featured, this pair including a bold use of red on the “Nike Air” branding on the tongue and a set of spare red laces sure to make a statement. The materials are tasteful and well-executed, consisting of suede on the toe box and medial panelling, whilst leather wraps around the mudguard and heel offering extra durability and comfort.
Overall, this could be one of the most popular pairs to drop so far, undoubtedly overtaking the recent “Phantom” release that underwhelmed many with its simple and almost lazy aesthetic. Scheduled to drop on the 25th March, we will be eagerly awaiting this drop and can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Travis Scott x Jordan 1 Low OG Olive.
