The Nike SB line has been dropping some absolute heat as of late, with releases such as the Fly Streetwear Gardenia and Jordan 4 Retro SB Pine Green taking the spotlight and the latter already a contender for shoe of the year. Although we have seen many collaborations with musicians throughout the years, the infamous hip-hop duo Run the Jewels have surprisingly never graced their presence within the sneaker world. That all changes now, though, with the release of both a Nike SB Dunk High and Dunk Low, kitted out in vibrant colours and an interesting use of materials.
The SB Dunk Low boasts a deep blue upper and utilises contrasting materials of leather and suede, with the use of a translucent blue midsole offering an icy touch. The swoosh is painted in an active pink, a bold detail which offers a stark contrast from the upper, blending in well with the traditional SB vibe of outlandish design and creativity. The Dunk High opts for an immediately eye-catching upper, splashed with active pink overlays in pony hair material, sitting atop a darker leather base allowing the difference in materials to truly stand out. The swoosh takes on a 3D effect, with a gold lace dubrae taking them to a new level, as well as a hidden stash pocket in the tongue that we have seen on a few collaborations before, such as the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6.
Finishing off each pair is Run the Jewels iconography printed on the insoles and outsoles, as well as a host of accessories such as extra laces and a special box. The duo of pairs have already released and we have sizes in hand, which ones will you be picking up?
