What is the Powerpuff Girls?

The Powerpuff Girls is one of the most iconic shows to ever to grace the Cartoon Network, appearing on screens worldwide between 1998 and 2004, portraying the story of three kindergarten-aged girls with an array of superpowers battling to defend their town from various villains and monsters. Each of the girls has their own signature coloured uniform, with Blossom being pink, Bubbles, blue, and Buttercup, green, a keen insight into the potential use of colours with this upcoming release. Now, let’s get down to the fun stuff, the part where news has leaked of a potential collaboration between Nike SB and the Powerpuff Girls, set to coincide with two reboots of the beloved childhood show.

Are there similar packs to this?

The most recent pack that would be similar to this would be the Nike SB Dunk Low x Grateful Dead Bears, also dropping in a trio, with a yellow, green, and orange iteration, each boasting fun details and materials that truly stood out. An older example would be the Nike SB Dunk High Papa Bear, which was released alongside the Mid and Low iterations, and sported a furry upper tying in well with the theme and story of the three bears and red riding hood.

When are they dropping?

There is no official imagery of the Nike SB Dunk Low x Powerpuff Girls as of yet, with only one leaked image coming from @jfgrails, which revealed via the images that the back tabs are set to feature the eyes of each of the Powerpuff Girls and a colourway nodding to their costumes. Albeit this is only speculation at the moment, with neither Cartoon Network nor Nike confirming the collaboration, it would certainly be a welcomed release, with fans of the SB Dunk and Cartoon Network show owning a piece of history they could both wear and admire.
