Heading to Wimbledon 2024
Wimbledon 2024 has just ended this past weekend with yet another victory from Spain’s 21-year-old hero Carlos Alcaraz, whom we hooked up some Travis Scott Reverse Mocha’s last year! This year, we travelled down to London again to drop off a couple pairs of the Nike x Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low “Canary” for a couple top 15 ranked players. It was a fun day meeting the players and being around the Wimbledon environment, it truly is as exciting as it looks and really makes you appreciate the historical significance of the tournament. Keep reading to find out who we met and what went down on the day!
Meeting Holger Rune
After turning pro in 2020, Denmark’s Holger Rune was born a week before Carlos Alcaraz, and sees himself and Carlos as the modern-day version of Nadal vs Federer in terms of rivalry. Holger has reached a highest ranking of world number 4 in August of 2023, and recently reached the third round of Wimbledon where he was ultimately knocked out by Novak Djokovic. However, we hooked him up with a pair of the Nike x Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low “Canary”, which ought to cheer him up a little… we hope!
Meeting Andrey Rublev
Sitting at the current world ranking of number 8, Andrey Rublev was born in Moscow, Russia, and has been playing tennis since the age of three. He turned pro in 2014 and is a big fan of boxing, basketball, and music. We caught up with Andrey at Wimbledon to drop off some “Canary” Travis Scott’s, which he put straight on foot and even showed off his football skills for us as well!
