Since its inception in 2017, Crenshaw Skate Club has quickly grown to prominence in the skating community, adorned by the likes of Justin Bieber and regarded as one of the hottest brands coming out of LA in recent years.
Run by teenager Tobey McIntosh, a future Stanford graduate and impressive entrepreneur, CSC has already amassed some notable Nike and Jordan collaborations and continues to build a solid reputation in the community thanks to Tobey’s dedication and desire to make a change.
“I was never a products-first type of person. It’s always been more about the story and the meaning behind everything.”
All of this adds to the story of the upcoming Dunk SB collaboration, a pair that is still semi-shrouded in mystery, with only limited imagery coming to the surface so far.
Upon first glance, it’s hard to miss the grip-tape like pattern that dresses the overlays, boldly finished in a burgundy and green hue. This eye-catching upper sits atop a muted off-white base and icy blue outsole, allowing the bold overlays to do the talking and the colours to shine through. As well as the impressive use of colours, the details extend to the co-branded “Nike” and “CSC” heel patches, a subtle addition that sets this pair apart and gives them their own unique story.
There is no set release date as of yet for this pair, but hopefully they will be dropping in time for summer so we can all add a fresh pair into the rotation. This is one of many fresh Nike SB iterations as of late, and holds just as much story as the rest, so it’s a pair we are very excited about to say the least.
